Meet Nashe, Tinashe’s Alter Ego, On Her Self-Assured “Throw A Fit”

Tinashe undoubtedly experienced a moment of exhilaration when Joyride arrived earlier this year. The 25-year-old faced endless delays and setbacks while trying to release her sophomore album and finally managed to get it out. However, it looks like she is already moving on after failing to make an impact on the charts with a trio of singles. On the bright side, the “Faded Love” singer is bouncing right back with new music. She kicked off a new era and got in a few digs at an ex on her breezy “Like I Used To” earlier this month. The Hitmaka and Smash David-produced mid-tempo has amassed more than 1.5 million streams on Spotify and garnered warm reviews when it dropped. Today (July 27), she unveiled a second taste of new music with her frosty “Throw A Fit.”

On it, she introduces her self-assured alter ego, Nashe. Who is Nashe, exactly? I’m glad you asked. The siren answered that question in a story on Instagram. Apparently, she has “0 chill,” “will steal your bitch” and “doesn’t give a hint of a fuck.” She also “makes these hoes extremely uncomfortable” and exudes obvious Big Dick Energy. Basically, she’s a serious boss. And that divalicious attitude carries over to her latest release. Over slick trap beats, she drops some confident lines. “I’m the shit. I know I’m the shit. Yeah, I’m super lit. If you don’t buy me what I want, Imma throw a fit,” she warns. The brazen and brag-heavy anthem is a bratty delight, and it could easily become a respectable hit for Tinashe.

The “Me So Bad” hitmaker hasn’t landed on the Hot 100 since her debut single “2 On” cracked the Top 40 in 2014. That hasn’t stopped her from dropping promising material (justice for “All Hands On Deck” and “Company”). However, it is clear that she deserves to reclaim a spot on the charts, and “Throw A Fit” may just be her next big hit. Give the single a spin below!
