Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games” Sampled For French Montana’s “All For You”: Listen
French Montana links up with Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg on his Coke Boys 4 track “All For You,” but the real star of the song is Lana Del Rey. The song heavily samples Lana’s breakout “Video Games,” throwing hi-hat snaps and 808 rumbles over the orchestral pop arrangement, and you can probably guess which chunk of the original chorus is re-purposed as the hook here.
Del Rey may have closed out her “gangsta Nancy Sinatra” era, but as this song suggests, it’ll be a while before she fully sheds that aesthetic.
