papertrailll.jpgLast week, word came that the release date of T.I.’s Paper Trail had been pushed back from August to Sept. 9. Today comes the news that the album’s now been delayed until Sept. 30, and that he’s already shooting a video for a second single from the album. [Rap-Up]

  1. Al Shipley

    Shooting multiple videos for a rap album before its release is really industry standard at this point, especially when the first one was for a song like “No Matter What” that was really clearly just kind of a buzz single, not something aimed at topping the charts.

    I haven’t had a chance to proclaim anywhere that “No Matter What” is so freakin’ solid, so I will do so here. It still blows me away every time I hear it. That chorus!

  3. Tauwan

    @the rich girls are weeping:

    I’m with you on that one. I remember just watching the video in silence, and just listening to the words. [And that chorus!] Funny how house arrest can lock you in place [no pun intended] and force you to “take your time and do it right.” It also helps that T.I. manages to stand out in a crowded room full of Southern rappers. Cause lord knows there’s a lot of them.

    at least the album cover looks interesting which isn’t something you can say for most people nowadays
