In Tuesday’s episode, “The Substitute,” Mr. Schuester is out sick, and Oscar-winner and country newbie Gwyneth Paltrow takes his place directing the Glee club. And what better way to get immediately fired from your job than to perform Cee Lo Green’s expletive-ridden doo-wop tune “F*** You” with your students? (Okay, it’s actually the censored version, “Forget You” — we’ll save Gwyneth throwing down f-bombs in front of minors in our Glee fan fiction stories scribbled in our marble notebooks.) Clip below.

“Forget You”

“What would you know about Cee Lo, you’re like 40?” sneers Santana to Gwyneth’s character, Holly Holiday. “Top 40, sweet cheeks,” she responds. Good zinger, but in all honesty, do you think most high-schoolers would know anything about Cee Lo Green? His The Lady Killer album, filled with old school soul and Motown, isn’t exactly targeting a teen demographic.

What do you think of Gwyneth’s appearance on the hit show? Should she permanently replace Mr. Schuester? And anyone else hope in Season 3, the glee club’s music room burns down just so they don’t have to film every other musical number on the show in the same overused, bland location?
