Jay-Z welcomed a new Jay into the club — New Orleans rapper Jay Electronica joined the Roc Nation family on Friday night at a party thrown at the Box in New York. It sure didn’t take long for some drama to spoil the celebrations, thanks entirely to some accusatory statements tweeted by Diddy. Details on the supposed Diddy vs. Jays beef below, as well as two new tracks from Jay E. featuring none other than Hova and a former U.S. President.

First up, take a listen to the song Jay Electronica debuted at his Roc Nation signing, “The Announcement”, which samples John F. Kennedy’s famous “Ask not what your country can do for you” speech he gave to Congress:

Jay-Z, Charlotte Gainsbourg & The-Dream – Shiny Suit Theory” dl=”0″] “Me and Puff, we were chilling in Miami,” raps Electronica. “He said n****a f**** the underground, you need to win a Grammy / For your mama and your family.” Looks like there was a little love lost between old pals over the weekend — rumors swirled ’round the web that Diddy was mad at the rapper for joining Roc Nation — due to this mysterious Tweet. Turns out, it was just bad timing and had nothing to do with either Jay. “I am not mad at Jay Z! I’m not mad at anyone! Jz was not the friend I was referring 2,” he said Monday morning, continuing with, “@JayElectronica I proud of you! I’m happy for you. I love you! I congratulate you’ I’m not mad at you! All I wanna do is see you win! All love.” Jay Electronica, apparently not happy with being accused of being a bad friend (even by accident), shot back to Diddy, ” You should be more clear than that too brother. betrayal is a serious allegation. real talk. and you know im gonnabe me so i ant gonna be holding my tongue if you gon be out here emotional and wreckless with it.” [Rap-Radar]
