When Avril Lavigne announced her fourth studio album, Goodbye Lullaby, in a blog post back in November, she said it was the “most meaningful and special record I have written”, calling it “sincere, honest and close to my heart.” We usually love the music that comes out when Avril wears her heart on her sleeve — now if only she would finally get the bright pink streaks out of her hair. Jump below to preview all 14 songs on Avril’s new album, as well as three acoustic versions and a cover of Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation.”
Avril Lavigne – Goodbye Lullaby album sampler
Besides “What The Hell” (which may have the most interesting hook out of all these songs), Avril’s going a more mellow this time around — we’re getting more of a Lilith Fair vibe than, say, Bamboozle. We’re curious to hear each of these songs in their entirety.
Which tracks are you dying to hear more of? And do you think Avril should have kept the party going, or do you like her more subdued?
Pick up Goodbye Lullaby March 8. And thanks to Idolator reader Ex-on for alerting us to the sampler!
