Steven Tyler is “doing splendidly” after taking a nasty tumble in his hotel bathroom Tuesday in Paraguay, the AP reports. The 63-year-old Season 11 American Idol judge required emergency dental work and stitches to repair cuts to his face and to replace two teeth knocked out during the accident. But worry not for the aging rock legend. Witnesses say he took it like a champ.

The singer, who was in town to perform with his band Aerosmith when the accident occurred,  was reportedly “friendly and humble” during his surgeries and surprised his doctor with cheerfulness. The show has been rescheduled for today.

Nicolas Garzia, a spokesperson for the concert’s promoter, tweeted that the singer had been suffering stomach problems and was dehydrated prior to his fall.

These aren’t the first battle scars sustained by the crooner. In 2009, Tyler broke his shoulder after tumbling off stage during a South Dakota performance, which led to the cancellation of Aerosmith’s remaining North American tour dates. Luckily this time around the damage wasn’t so bad, especially with the latest season of American Idol set to premiere in January.
