While her NBA All Star performance over the weekend may not have left us impressed, Alicia Keys fared much better today when she stopped by The Wendy Williams Show for a promotional appearance. While there, she performed her current single, “Brand New Me” (watch that up top!) and sat down with Wendy to discuss love, life and her new music. (Most importantly, she talked about Blue Ivy Carter, so good luck finding anything else that matters quite as much as that.)
On the subject of her husband of two years, producer Swizz Beatz, Keys said, “He showed me how to live life in a beautiful way.” She also said that she hoped to have more children, but not for another few years. Very measured, Alicia.
But what we all really wanted to know about was the first time that her son Egypt met Beyonce and Jay-Z‘s holy progeny Blue Ivy, which she said was rife with tension: “I think Egypt kissed Blue,” she said. “I don’t think Jay liked it very much.”
