Lily Allen Turned Down A ‘Game Of Thrones’ Cameo

Lily Allen revealed that she turned down a cameo in Game of Thrones. Why? Among other reasons, she would have played Theon Greyjoy’s sister.

Greyjoy is played by Alfie Allen, the Sheezus star’s actual brother. During the show’s second season, Greyjoy’s sister Yara tracks him down after having been separated since childhood. She poses as a stranger to test his character, only for Theon to try seducing her. “They asked me if I’d be interested in playing Theon’s sister, and I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and sh–,” Lily said in a Reddit AMA. “Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks.”

Lily actually spent a fair amount of time talking about Alfie, his Game of Thrones role and her song about him (“Ooh, deary me / my brother’s in his bedroom smoking weed”). And she was mostly kind, too. She admitted that she’d take back “Alfie” if she could, stated that she listens to every artist mentioned in “Sheezus,” but also made a confusing comment about T-Pain and how he sampled her in 2011’s “5 O’Clock.” “I’ve never met him or heard any communication with him. So the collaboration was perfect,” she said, after having praised his take.
