There’s catchy and then there’s “Geronimo.” Australian indie-pop collective Sheppard unleashed the unstoppable sing-a-long anthem at home earlier this year (buy it here on iTunes) and scored their first chart-topping hit (a rare feat for an independent act), with the song eventually going triple-Platinum in OZ. The runaway smash soon caught the attention of overseas labels and the band is now a priority for Universal Republic here in the US.

So what makes “Geronimo” so irresistible? Well, the giddy pop anthem has hooks upon hooks and the kind of chorus that gets lodged in your head from the very first listen Plus, the completely adorable video that accompanies the song doesn’t hurt, either.

Today Idolator is premiering the North American version of the Sheppard’s “Geronimo” visual. Watch above as the group forms a cardboard army and goes to battle. Don’t worry, though — love conquers all in the end!

Will “Geronimo” be the next big song to come out of Australia? Let us know your thoughts on Sheppard’s video below.
