The Internet Flees From Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda”: 10 Extremely Underwhelmed Tweets
Nicki Minaj‘s much-hyped “Anaconda” surfaced online last night (July 31) and the reaction — even from diehard Barbz — was overwhelmingly negative. What has everyone so bent out of shape? Well, most considered it an unwelcome return to the pop sound of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which the femcee promised to avoid this era, and the lyrics sparked serious secondhand embarrassment.
It’s a blow because The Pink Print finally seemed to be back on track after “Pills N Potions” unexpectedly tanked. “Anaconda” got everyone talking thanks to its eye-popping cover and Nicki’s feature on Jessie J‘s “Bang Bang” could nab her a long overdue number one hit. Who knows, the (very) low-brow banger could be a grower? See how Twitter reacted after the jump.
