Coldplay’s “Miracles”: Hear A Snippet Of The ‘Unbroken’ Song
Weeks before its theatrical debut on December 25, the film Unbroken already seems like an Oscar contender!
The Universal Studios film is the second directorial effort by the enigmatic Angelina Jolie, and written by screenwriters Joel and Ethan Coen. Plus, Coldplay will contribute a song to Unbroken‘s soundtrack — titled “Miracles.”
It’s kind of strange for the first listen of the tune to pop up not in breathless Unbroken coverage, but in a commercial for UK channel Sky Movies Christmas — so, to footage of films like Miracle on 34th Street, Home Alone and Elf. As a result, the song doesn’t seem as rousing as it should be, though surely that will change once it debuts in full and gets a video treatment. See the ad featuring Coldplay’s “Miracles” below.
UPDATE: Per the band’s official website, the clip used in the Sky Movies Christmas ad isn’t of the song: “The clip that has been doing the rounds is NOT Miracles; it’s not even Coldplay!”
