BANKS‘ brooding music has always been subject to killer remixes (see: SOHN‘s overhaul of “Before I Ever Met You” or Snakehip‘s version of “Warm Water”) — and the latest comes from Salva. The Los Angeles-based DJ/producer has put his own spin on the singer’s moody tune “Beggin For Thread,” off her debut Goddess LP.
The dark, yet slightly danceable, original track gets even more ready for the underground clubs — thanks to Salva’s wonky electronic effects, distorted synths and pulsating bassline. It just goes to show how versatile BANKS’ music can truly be.
