:: Poor Mathew Knowles just can’t shake off the heydays of Destiny’s Child! According to Sony’s latest hacked emails, Beyonce‘s estranged father had a plan for a biopic based on the girl group. Reportedly, the compan’ys movie executives were interested in the project. The deal never saw the light of day, but it may be heading to Lifetime. Based on the network’s recent biopics, let’s just hope that’s a rumor. [Jezebel]

:: Speaking of the Sony hacking drama, details were revealed about a sequel to Spike Lee‘s 1988 classic — School Daze. The director/actor was reportedly writing a character for Drake, whose name would be “PE*NIS.” Do you think it’s fitting? [Stereogum]

:: In love-related news, Sam Smith has a new boytoy! The UK crooner is reportedly dating on of the men from his “Like I Can” video. He told The Sun, “It’s very early days. I’m talking very, very, very early days.
