The Iggy/Britney Collab Is Still Happening
Iggy Azalea confirmed that her much-hyped collab with Britney Spears is still going ahead.

It’s been a little (ok, very) quiet on the Iggy Azalea front since she said “girl, bye” to social media, but the Aussie femcee gave a thorough update on her recent activities in a new interview with AP. For starters, her collaboration with Britney Spears, which is rumored to be called “Pretty Girls,” is still going ahead and she has nothing but kind things to say about the pop icon.

“I love Britney,” the 24-year-old said. “She’s super sweet and I just want to hang out with her all the time.” It turns out the ladies are neighbors and get along famously. “I saw her at Toys ‘R’ Us randomly, she lives right down the street from me,” Iggy revealed. “Since I’ve met her, now we keep bumping into each other in the street.” As for their much-anticipated anthem? “I don’t know if I needed re-inspiring, but [the song] just made me extra excited to want to put out new music.”

And then there’s that tour postponement. “The whole point was to make no compromises, but nothing’s changed in terms of my creative vision,” the Mullumbimby babe said. “It’s very kind of like Patrick Nagel, powerful 80s androgynous women vibe.” She just wishes she didn’t have to wait until September to launch it. “Because the arenas are so far in advanced booked, it was kind of their next slot.”

In the meantime, Iggy plans to work on her sophomore LP. “I didn’t anticipate having any time to completely finish it, but now that I have kind of the time,” the four-time Grammy nominee said. “I’d love to have an album at the end of 2015.” What can we expect from her next opus? “I hope it’s a little bit more up-tempo and just really fun. I just want to have something so summer and so girly, so loud and obnoxious.”
