The Weeknd brought out Kanye West last night (April 18) during his second headlining set at Coachella. The R&B singer was singing the hook to West’s 2008 hit “Heartless,” when the rap mogul stormed the stage to spit his verses himself.

From there, West performed a short set, focusing on songs that would keep the crowd’s energies high. He performed “Don’t Like,” the Chief Keef-sampling song that introduced Chicago drill to the hip-hop masses. He performed “Black Skinhead,” the industrial rock-leaning Yeezus single that sounds just as menacing as it did on its 2013 debut. And he got low to “All Day,” the fiery banger from his upcoming seventh album So Help Me God — footage that should serve @dancingkanye well.

When the Weeknd closed out Coachella’s second night last week, he performed a brand-new, untitled song — his first new material since his contributions to the Gold-selling Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. Clearly, bringing out Yeezy was the only way that he could top that. Watch the surprise Coachella set below.
