Mariah Carey Makes Dreams Come True In ‘A Christmas Melody’: Watch A Preview
Mariah Carey’s status as the Queen of Christmas is undeniable. She recorded the highest-selling festive album of all time, wrote a children’s book based on seasonal smash “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and kicked off a now annual December residency at the Beacon Theatre in NYC last year. And then there’s her Hallmark movie, A Christmas Melody. The network started showing previews if the blockbuster today (November 17) and it looks amazing.
From what I can make out, Mimi plays a teacher at a school and takes charge of the choir (or maybe it’s a glee club). There’s snippets of children singing her classic hits — obviously — and a couple of awkward moments of dialogue. It’s all very vague and the IMDb description (“a gift of music transports people back to another time and place where they find their truest feelings”) doesn’t really help. But that’s all beside the point. Mariah stars in a Xmas movie. With music. I’m tuning in and buying the DVD regardless! Watch below.
