Rachel Platten Interview
Rachel Platten talks breakthrough hit "Fight Song," her EP and long road to the top.

Rachel Platten was a ray of sunshine on the otherwise gloomy pop radio airwaves in 2015. She encouraged everyone to keep their chin up with surprise top 10 hit “Fight Song” and kept the empowerment coming with serotonin-raising anthem “Stand By You.” And you can expect more of the same in 2016. The 34-year-old revealed the title of her major label debut LP Wildfire (she released two as an independent artist) on Twitter earlier this week and followed it up with a tour announcement today.

The self-help pop princess kicks off The Wildfire Tour on February 26 in Dallas, Texas and crisscrosses North American until reaching Los Angeles on April 5. Rachel hasn’t announced the release date of Wildfire as yet, but early 2016 looks increasingly likely. It will be interesting to see if any of the songs from her Fight Song EP make the cut or if it’s all new material. You can purchase pre-sale tickets on the newcomer’s website now.
