According to a report coming out of Ireland, Dublin police station Garda Pearse Street has confirmed singer Sinead O’Connor is now receiving medical attention after the 48 year old posted what appears to be a suicide note on Facebook Sunday (November 29).

“The last two nights finished me off. I have taken an overdose,” reads part of O’Connor’s most recent Facebook status update. “There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in ireland, under another name If I wasn’t posting this, my kids and family wouldn’t even find out.”

O’Connor’s note makes reference to family strife involving, among others, her sons Jake Reynolds, 28, and Shane Lunny, 11. A spat with ex-boyfriend Donal Lunny, father of their child Shane, plays out over her past several Facebook updates. The singer also references a hysterectomy she underwent in late August.

Because apparently I’m scum and deserve to be abandoned and treated like shit just when I’ve had my womb and ovaries chopped out and my child is frighteningly sick,” O’Connor’s Facebook update says. “I’m such a rotten horrible mother and Person, that I’ve been alone. Howling crying for weeks. And been told by them all t go fuck myself. I’m invisible.”

UK paper the Telegraph reports that Garda found O’Connor “safe and well,” but that she is now undergoing medical treatment.
