Grace Slick Tells It Like It Is

Grace Slick is another classic rock icon who paved the way for women in rock n’ roll. The Jefferson Airplane frontwoman has a music career spanning four decades with numerous credits including lending her vocals to the mega hits “Somebody to Love,” “White Rabbit,” and “We Built This City.”

Slick may have retired stating that “All rock-and-rollers over the age of 50 look stupid and should retire,” but even in middle age, she managed to smash records. At 47 years old the songstress blew age stereotypes and broke her record for being the oldest female vocalist on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
