Cher Lloyd Makes US TV Debut On ‘America’s Got Talent’, Performs “Want U Back”

Cher Lloyd America's Got Talent Want U Back
Cher Feels Like Shhhhh At The Malt Shop
Awww. We’ve got tears in our eyes, watching our little Cher Lloyd grow up so fast. Four months ago the 18-year-old pop starlet from the UK made her US debut at Idolator’s Pray For Pop party at South By Southwest. And, with her bouncy jam “Want U Back” now sitting pretty in the iTunes Top 10, she gave her first TV performance stateside on America’s Got Talent last night.

Before Lloyd launched into her malt shop-themed pop spectacle, AGT host Nick Cannon announced that Cher previously competed alongside One Direction on the UK version of The X Factor — a fact that elicited screams from the audience. “It’s going very well, better than I expected, which is good,” Lloyd said about her success here. Her debut LP Sticks + Stones will be released domestically on the very crowded day of September 18.

Tony Bennett, Queen Latifah, OneRepublic & Cobra Starship Do ‘AGT’ Finale

It was a star-studded America’s Got Talent finale last night, as Tony Bennett and Queen Latifah took to the stage to perform their Duets II tune “Who Can I Turn To (When Nobody Needs Me),” Cobra Starship and Sabi gave a shaky performance of their hit “You Make Me Feel…” and OneRepublic mashed up their hits “Secrets” and “Good Life.” Incidentally, 36-year-old crooner Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. emerged as the AGT winner this season. Watch the musical happenings on the show below.

David Guetta And Pals Nicki Minaj & Flo Rida Hit Up ‘America’s Got Talent’

Not to be outdone by Scottish balladeer Susan Boyle, David Guetta also performed on America’s Got Talent last night, and he brought along his “Where Them Girls At” cohorts Nicki Minaj and Flo Rida. It was the trio’s first performance of the song together on TV, and they managed to transform the Nick Cannon-hosted shindig into a hopping club for a good four minutes or so. And if anyone knows how to get the crowd screaming this week, it’s Nicki. Watch below.

Susan Boyle Debuts “You Have To Be There” On ‘America’s Got Talent’

Somehow, folks, it’s now September. That can only mean one thing: we’re nearly upon Susan Boyle season. Naturally the Scottish temptress has a new album (Someone To Watch Over Me) lined up for the holidays. And so the Britain’s Got Talent alum hit up America’s Got Talent last night to debut “You Have To Be There,” the first offering from her third LP. Meanwhile, isn’t this the point in Susan’s career where Lil Wayne and Ludacris should be spitting rhymes on her lady hymns?

Demi Lovato Climbs A “Skyscraper” On ‘America’s Got Talent’

Looks like America is back to showcasing some real talent. (Sorry, Rebecca.) Demi Lovato sounded phenomenal while performing her emotional new single “Skyscraper” on America’s Got Talent, singing atop a giant heap of rubbish that was soon set on fire. That sounds questionable to perform on top of a landfill, but it was a truly captivating number, particularly when Demi continued to sing while playing piano. Jump below to watch.

Rebecca Black Mashes Up “Friday” & “My Moment” On ‘America’s Got Talent’

Rebecca Black really does appear to be having a moment. Sure, she has paparazzi swirling around her, and her mother had to pull the tween star out of school after her viral video fame caused fellow students to bully her. But the flip side is that she’s become BFFs with Katy Perry and gets invited to perform during prime TV gigs. Case in point: last night’s America’s Got Talent results show, where Rebecca mashed up “Friday” (check out that new musical arrangement) and “My Moment.”

Jason Derulo Gets His Michael Jackson On For ‘America’s Got Talent’… Again

Last night Jason Derulo twirled his way onto the America’s Got Talent stage to belt out a medley of his Future History singles “It Girl” and “Don’t Wanna Go Home” while emulating — who else? — Michael Jackson. And, granted, we’re used to the 21-year-old copping MJ’s legendary moves, especially on AGT. But why not stage some original shuffling of your own at some point, Jason? Head below to watch all the fancy footwork.

Avril Lavigne’s ‘Got Talent’, Performs “What The Hell” And “Smile”

Avril Lavigne is still working those Goodbye Lullaby singles. The Abbey Dawn designer stopped by America’s Got Talent to perform “What The Hell” and “Smile” during the first results show of the season. As much as we like these two tracks, their shelf life doesn’t seem to be that long — when’s that “more fun” album coming out already, Av? Jump below to watch her back-to-back numbers.

9 Reasons We Know Nick Cannon’s Going To Make A Great Dad (PHOTOS)

You never know just how great (or not so great) of a parent a pop star will turn out to be, but we have our utmost faith in newly named father-to-be Nick Cannon. Though Merry Christmas II You singer, Mariah Carey is still months away from her spring due date (and despite the fact that we recently called the couple, um, mismatched), we’re certain that the bundle of joy is going to be in great hands with the America’s Got Talent host. Doubt us? Then check out nine reasons why Nick is set to win Father Of The Year in 2011!

Usher Dances Onto The ‘America’s Got Talent’ Finale

First off, we thought 10-year-old Jackie Evancho was the surefire winner on America’s Got Talent. Alas, the crown went to 30-year-old blues singer Michael Grimm. Another surprise during last night’s finale—Usher performed his hit “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love,” and unlike his recent stints at the VMAs and on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he actually sang part of the chorus live. AGT, constantly shocking and awing. Watch Ursh do his thing after the jump.
