Michael Jackson’s ‘Glee’ Tribute Episode: What A “Scream”

Glee‘s Michael Jackson tribute episode (cleverly titled “Michael”) aired last night, and it featured a mish-mosh of a cappella versions, faithful covers and reenactments of several classic MJ videos. (There were also cellos, eye patches and Finchel duets filling the relatively plot-less episode right to the brim.) It was all a bunch of silliness to capitalize not only on the current IMMORTAL World Tour Cirque Du Soleil show traveling the country (referenced seconds after the episode began!), but Jackson’s continuing popularity. Watch a few of the musical numbers below. More »

‘Glee’ Says Goodbye To Chord Overstreet, Welcome Back To Darren Criss

In case you haven’t noticed, McKinley High isn’t like regular high schools — full-time enrollment doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be sticking around. Glee‘s Sam Evans will be finding it a lot easier to cut class now that Chord Overstreet’s contract as a series regular on the Fox hit has not been renewed (though that doesn’t mean he won’t still pop up occasionally as a guest star). Not a very “Lucky” break for the New Directions blondie, is it? See who will be sticking around after the jump.  More »

‘Glee’ Invades Central Park (PHOTOS)

Yesterday, we saw Lea Michele and Chris Colfer take over New York’s midtown (in what we can only assume was a tribute to TV’s Mary and Rhoda). And today the Glee cast has moved on to Central Park for their on location shoot. In addition to the musical show’s Triple Threat in residence, among those spotted filming were Dianna Agron, Chord Overstreet, Kevin McHale, Harry Shum Jr. and Cory Monteith. Will this NYC episode eclipse tonight’s super-sized episode? And what’s with the balloon animals and flowers?! We demand answers, Ryan Murphy!

Naya Rivera Does “Valerie” Better Than Winehouse On Last Night’s ‘Glee’

Last night on Glee‘s “Special Education“, Kurt took care of a metaphor —er, we mean a pet bird — at his new school, Emma broke some big news to Mr. Schue, and Rachel was pretty much as insufferable as she usually is. (At least this time Schue and Finn called her on her bad ‘tude.) But the most show-stopping moment of the night was Naya Rivera belting out the Mark Ronson/Amy Winehouse version of The Zutons’ “Valerie” while Heather Morris and Harry Shum Jr. became the MVPs of New Directions based on their incredible dancing alone.
