Tonight’s set by the pugilistic Britpop titans Oasis at the Rock En Seine Festival
, which was supposed to commence about an hour ago, was canceled at the last minute due to an “altercation,”
the crowd was told. Well, that “altercation” was actually Noel Gallagher up and quitting the band because of his brotherly love pretty much going pffft! Good thing he had enough sense to blog about it
“It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.
“Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan.”
Well, that’s terse. But I guess it’s nice that he got the real story out right away!
