Rihanna‘s eighth album may arrive next month, if a leaked photo is to be believed.
Here’s the story: DJ Envy, co-host of Power 105′s The Breakfast Club, found what appears to be an official document from Rihanna’s label RocNation, detailing her new album. The title? Lost Files. The release date? November 25. The standard edition would feature 14 songs and appearances by Nicki Minaj, Drake, Big Sean and Eminem.
Other artists have talked about their involvement in Rihanna’s eighth album, the follow-up to 2012′s Unapologetic. DJ Mustard was the first to do so, back in January. As of late, though, the release still appeared to be a work in progress. Rihanna reunited with songwriter Ester Dean in the studio. Meanwhile, Charli XCX said that she was writing for the enduring pop star, too.
The most promising sign that the leaked photo is authentic is its mention of “Barz,” featuring Minaj. Last spring on social media, Rihanna teased the woeful lyrics: “Your silver tongue is full of lies, with tricks and thrills and Bambi eyes.” And after a thorough investigation, the Navy concluded that either The Pink Print star or Keri Hilson was involved.

This year has been very good to Nicki Minaj: her inescapable “Anaconda” single is certified Platinum, she was blessed to share the stage with Beyonce for their “***Flawless” remix and she was spotted hanging out with the Queen of Pop herself — Madonna. Now the rapper is gearing up to host and perform at the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards.
A new promo clip for the ceremony has arrived, and it’s a glimpse into the future. Set one day after the EMAs, the video shows Minaj’s global domination. There are E-Minajs (emojis inspired by the rapper), her own late-night show, hamburgers shaped like her infamous bum and even money with her face on it!
Along with Minaj, Calvin Harris, Ariana Grande, Charli XCX, Ed Sheeran and Kiesza are all set to perform. The show will set to air on November 9, live from the SSE Hydro arena in Glasgow, Scotland. View the entire nominations list for the 2014 MTV EMAs here. More »
Nicki Minaj poses next to pastel-colored poodles in her glamorous GQ shoot but that’s not the most outrageous thing you’ll in the photos. Instead, the eye is immediately drawn to the femcee’s barely-there top, which appears to be a marvel of modern engineering. The 31-year-old spoke to the magazine about her upcoming LP The Pink Print and meme-spawning “Anaconda” video.
After making the seemingly disingenuous claim that there’s no sexual innuendo in the song or video (“it’s just cheeky, like a funny story… all it says is, ‘my anaconda don’t’”), Nicki sheds some light on the feminist statement she was trying to make with “Anaconda”. “That was important for us to show in the kitchen scene, because it’s always about the female taking back the power,” she says in reference to the clip’s banana-chopping moment. See another pic from her stunning GQ shoot after the jump. More »
Nicki Minaj, often referred to as the E. E. Cummings of our generation , is finally getting the serious-face slam poetry session she deserves.
While the “Anaconda” diva has been serving up her A$$-tastic, Sir Mix-A-Lot sampling smash in our face with iconic visuals and live performances, YouTube’s MartiansBrain has just gone ahead and given us a version of the Harajuku Barbie’s latest banger that ought to provoke deep awe and wonderment.
Never before has the phrase “he toss my salad like his name Romaine” resonated so strongly. Listen to the full spoken word version of “Anaconda” after the jump. More »
Sure, 2014 hasn’t exactly been the biggest year for pop diva record releases, no doubt because of the deluge of albums that dropped last year, from the likes of Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga — just about everyone, really!

It’s down to “Shake It Off” songstress Taylor Swift‘s 1989, “Anaconda” diva Nicki Minaj‘s The Pink Print, “Crazy Stupid Love” pop princess Cheryl‘s Only Human and “London Queen” Charli XCX‘s highly anticipated Sucker. But we want to know: Which one are you most excited to hear? Vote for the record of your choice after the jump. More »
Nicki Minaj went topless for “Pills N Potions” before conquering YouTube with her ass-tastic “Anaconda” video. When you throw her raunchy Instagram antics into the mix, it’s fair to say the rap diva spent a considerable chunk of 2014 (semi-)naked. That makes her chic L’Uomo Vogue spread something of a surprise. Sure, the 31-year-old shows plenty of cleavage but her famous curves are largely hidden by a series of fashionable suits.
The femcee also shows a different, more vulnerable side in the accompanying interview. For starters, Nicki reveals she had a panic attack after performing “***Flawless” in Paris with Beyonce. “I was flying in a private jet, tired from the performance and the jetlag, but instead of sleeping, I worried about all of the deadlines waiting for me in Los Angeles,” she admits. “I got really scared – I had a sort of panic attack”.
However, the frightening experience did have one positive side-effect. “Seeing Beyonce with her daughter and husband was so tender,” Nicki says. “It showed me that it is possible to be an animal on stage and a caring mother at the same time.” Peruse the hitmaker’s stylish L’Uomo Vogue shoot above. After the surprise appearance that had stans in a tizzy, Beyonce has officially released the live video of her and Nicki Minaj‘s epic performance of the “***Flawless” remix. Taken from the singer’s On The Run HBO special with hubby Jay Z, the video shows the two showing off their sexy moves and flawless ass-ets (seriously, have you seen their booties?).
During the beginning of the performance, Minaj seems a little nervous around King Bey’s presence. But once the bass kicks in, the duo amps up the energy and keeps the audience jumping. More »

Nicki Minaj‘s booty anthem “Anaconda” is already cheeky – both literally and figuratively (did you see the NSFW video?). But who would’ve thought the rapper’s song could be transformed into a honky-tonk romp?
Postmodern Jukebox, a band known for their fun takes on famous pop tunes, stripped Minaj’s single from its hip-hop roots and placed their own bluegrass spin on it – and it’s actually pretty good!
Lead singer Robyn Adele Anderson dons pigtails and denim overalls as she casually sings the nonsensical lyrics, while the banjo player and a Chihuahua (what?) get down in the background. The catchy cover will definitely make you want to dust off your cowboy boots and head to the nearest hoedown. More »
