Olly Murs and Demi Lovato‘s lovely duet has now surfaced! Titled “Up,” the bouncy mid-tempo highlights the stars’ bright and strong vocals. During her recent CapitalFM appearance, Lovato stated: “It’s kind of got this folky, country vibe. It’s super catchy, I love it. He’s the sweetest guy in the world and I’m excited I got to work with him, he’s got good energy.”
The tune follows songs like “Wrapped Up” and “Right Place, Right Time” from the 28-year-old British X Factor star. “Up” is the latest track off Olly Murs’ upcoming fourth studio album Never Been Better, which will be released on November 24 in the United Kingdom. The video clip for Band Aid 30‘s rendition of “Do They Know It’s Christmas” premiered Sunday evening (November 16) during the UK telecast of The X Factor, and even without Adele taking part, the new version is quite the star-studded affair. Here on the lyrically-revised 2014 installment of the song — the fourth time it’s been recorded for charity over the past 30 years — One Direction take the first line, followed by Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora, Sam Smith, Paloma Faith and a slew of others (including Bono, a veteran of the very first version, and Chris Martin, who took part 10 years ago in Band Aid 20‘s take on the classic holiday track). When the first version of the Band Aid collective’s charity single “Do They Know It’s Christmas” was recorded in 1984, the studio session became a media event in of itself. Starting at 9 a.m., journalists watched closely as music superstars like U2‘s Bono, Duran Duran, Culture Club, Genesis drummer Phil Collins and Sting filed into the studio.
So on November 15, as new and established musicians alike arrived at London’s Notting Hill to record a new version of the song, this time raising awareness on the current ebola crisis, the media noticed that one notable artist was reportedly missing – Adele.
Despite announcements that she was among the dozen-plus participating artists, “Do They Know It’s Christmas” co-writer Bob Geldof (above, far right) said that Adele never responded to his request, according to The Independent. More »
Yesterday night, “Jam (Turn It Up)” chanteuse and Mrs. Kanye West herself Kim Kardashian set the Internet ablaze with her Jean-Paul Goude-shot Paper Magazine. It is, in a word, bootyful.

Whether you view holiday staple “Do They Know It’s Christmas” by the Band Aid collective as a guilty pleasure or Christmas classic, chances are, if it’s a significant anniversary year following the charity single’s original release, songwriters Bob Geldof and Midge Ure will be orchestrating an updated version with a whole new set of voices.
Case in point: It was announced this week that Geldof and Ure will be recording the fourth version of “Do They Know It’s Christmas” this Saturday (November 15) in London, to coincide with the song’s 30th anniversary, and to raise money for Ebola relief in West Africa. You won’t have to wait too long to hear the update, either — it’s being released on Monday…as in two days later. More »

Remember Olly Murs
, the British pop star that scored a top 30 hit with Flo Rida
in 2013? Well, he’s working on a new album and decided to generate some early hype by posting a pic of his butt on Twitter. Funnily enough, the X Factor
runner-up’s behavior isn’t even that unusual behavior. Hell, Cody Simpson
is already posting nudes
He captioned the image with lyrics from Sisqo‘s poetic and legendary “Thong Song” and made a quip about shooting a calendar. Olly is clearly pulling out all the stops for album number four. His last effort Right Place Right Time topped the charts in the UK and eventually sold four-times platinum. It also reached the top 20 over here. See the crooner’s tweet after the jump. More »
looks back on his short but extremely eventful career in the video for catchy new single “Right Place Right Time”. The Brit has enjoyed a banner year with unexpected US chart success
and a support slot on Robbie Williams
‘ record-breaking European tour, so his contemplative state of mind is totally understandable.
Highlights of the reflective clip include the 28-year-old’s X Factor audition, desert trek for Comic Relief and footage of his American tour. The video is pieced together with cheeky backstage antics and comes together quite nicely — never feeling like a hasty montage. Watch Olly come to terms with his pop star journey above. More »
