Drake Wants To Tweet You Through Your Day

“I like interacting with the people,” Drake explains during a sit-down with Walmart Soundcheck before storming the stage at a recent Club Nokia gig. “My voice is almost gone, and it’s gone because I sit there after the shows and I talk to people.” Apparently, the rapper’s favorite way to speak to fans (without sarcrificing his voice) is through Twitter. After the jump, Drizzy explains his tweeting habits, and he thankfully exudes more common sense than some other musicians about when to tweet and when to step away from the computer.

“I don’t really tweet like, I’m at the show, oh, I’m about to go onstage,” Drizzy explains. “I randomly tweet things to let people know I’m thinking of them, or get you though your day.”

Drake took to his Twitter today to let fans know he was doing just fine after his debut album hit the interwebs two weeks earlier than anticipated. But one such inspirational tweet? “I’d rather be an optimist who is sometimes wrong than a pessimist who is always right.” Well said, Drake. Modern day poet @liltunechi would approve.

Head on over to Walmart Soundcheck to view a preview of Drake’s performance at Club Nokia, premiereing June 15, the same day Thank Me Later drops in stores.
