Quadron, Avalanche Released: June 4

If you’re not careful, Coco O, the singer from Quadron, will casually seduce you with her smooth-and-creamy vocals when you’re not looking (but certainly listening). Avalanche, the Danish duo’s sophomore album, further justifies Quadron’s growing buzz by blending an early-’90s R&B sensibility (“It’s Gonna Get You”) with electro flourishes (“LFT”) and a classic soul vibe (“Crush” and “Neverland”). Elsewhere on this fantastic LP, “Favorite Star” struts like it has the assured nature of the best from Sade‘s back catalog, while single “Hey Love” tosses in hints of old-school house music for good measure.

This is simply the best back-patio cocktail party music you’ll find this summer.  — ROBBIE DAW
