Kelly Clarkson Brings Yuletide Cheer With “White Christmas”: Listen
Consider us properly and officially sleighed: Kelly Clarkson is spicing up your holiday season with her upcoming Wrapped In Red Christmas LP (even if it’s only October, which always feels a little inexplicable) — and the first offering from the set is a cover of the standard “White Christmas,” which she does perfectly — of course. But then, who has a better voice in the game than Kelly? Her vocals are emotive, velvety-smooth and impeccably controlled; the piano-centric production is nicely spare and never overwhelms her voice.
While I would have preferred to hear an original song from the upcoming set, Clarkson’s effortlessly extraordinary production does exactly what it should.
