M.I.A. brought her karmic banger “Y.A.L.A.” to Conan Wednesday (November 13), bringing the snotty Matangi track to life with some stunningly bright set lights and a constant cycle of dance moves. Unlike her Fallon performance of “Come Walk With Me,” there was no backing band here — just Maya, rocking shades and a flowing red outfit. By the end, her yelps were running short of breath, but that’s exactly what you want out of a performance of this type of song.
