FEMME Remixes Alex Winston’s “101 Vultures”: Idolator Premiere

Earlier this year we had the privilege of premiering Alex Winston‘s gorgeous “101 Vultures,” and now the Brooklyn singer is getting a British remix care of FEMME — and we’re premiering that, too! For the uninitiated, FEMME is the indie-pop project of UK singer/producer/director Laura Bettinson (whom you may know from Nigel Godrich‘s Ultraista).

For this remix, the fizzy “Fever Boy” multi-hyphenate goes behind the boards, turning the dreamy love dirge into a snappy bit of bedroom pop, thanks to bleeping synths and a mix of chopped and screwed backing vocals. It almost sounds like “101 Vultures” filtered through a Dev Hynes prism.
