Sky Ferreira Takes A Nightmarish Journey In “Night Time, My Time”: Watch The Moody Video
Sky Ferreira is still promoting current single “You’re Not The One” on television shows, but there’s no good reason the mercurial pop star should hold off on sharing other highlights from her debut LP, like the title track, “Night Time, My Time”. Ferreira’s moody new video — shot with frequent collaborator Grant Singer — delivers now typical gloominess and angry sexuality.
We’re treated to David Lynch-lite scenes of nightmarish normality in the clip. A motel, the freeway and even a child’s toy can seem ominous after dark — a point the seemingly sleep-deprived diva makes in a variety of different wigs and lingerie. It’s not quite convincing as an art projection but never less than interesting to watch.
