Chris Brown Unveils His ‘X’ Album Cover, Improves On ‘Graffiti’ And ‘F.A.M.E.’

Chris Brown is something of a serial offender when it comes to terrible covers. F.A.M.E. was a multi-colored mess, while Graffiti looked like the bad movie poster. It’s something of a relief then that his much-delayed X opus (due September 16) benefits from simple but effective artwork. He didn’t need to use an old picture (Breezy looks healthier now than he has in years) but it will do nicely.

Given the extensive delay — because, you know, jail — it will be interesting to see the final tracklist. Singles “Fine China” and “Loyal” should make the cut but who knows what will happen with his rumored collaborations with Kelly Rowland and Nicki Minaj. Everything we’ve heard from the album thus far has been very good, so I’m cautiously optimistic that X will be worth the wait.
