MOBO Awards 2014: Sam Smith Wins Big, Jessie J & Nicole Scherzinger Perform

Sam Smith swept the 2014 MOBO Awards last night (October 22), as he took away four awards. The In The Lonely Hour crooner won Best R&B/Soul Act, Best Male, Best Album and Best Song for his smash “Stay With Me.”

The ceremony, which stands for Music of Black Origin, was hosted by former Spice Girl Mel B and BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Sarah-Jane Crawford. The highlight performances of the night came from Sweet Talker Jessie J and honorary Brit, Nicole Scherzinger. The former sung a tried-and-true mashup of “Bang Bang” and “Burnin’ Up” featuring rapper Kid Ink, while the latter won the crowd with her latest tune “On The Rocks.”
