Sam Smith Will Reportedly Sing The Next ‘James Bond’ Theme
It looks like Sam Smith may be the next artist to perform the James Bond theme song! According to Page Six, the UK crooner edged out Lana Del Rey and was chosen to sing the famous tune. Smith has reportedly been speaking with the film’s producer Barbara Broccoli about the decision. If the rumors are true, his soulful and haunting vocals would be a perfect fit.
The previous Bond movie, 2012’s Skyfall, featured Adele‘s stunning performance of the eponymous theme song — which won Best Original Song at both the 85th annual Academy Awards and the 70th annual Golden Globes. The next as-yet-titled Bond film is set to be released in November 2015, and will once again star Daniel Craig.
