Rihanna Unveils Artwork & Title For Her Upcoming Eighth Album
UPDATE: Rihanna posted an Instagram photo today (October 8) to confirm the album is in fact titled ANTI.
After almost three years of putting up with endless teasers, magazine covers and Instagram snippets, Rihanna has now revealed the artwork for her anticipated #R8 album! The moment took place tonight (October 7) at a Los Angeles gallery, where the singer, music writers and fans gathered for the unveiling of the album cover.
Reportedly titled ANTI (waiting for official confirmation), the artwork for the “BBHMM” starlet’s album appears to be her most personal to date. Curated by Israeli artist Roy Nachum, it shows a reworked and abstract photo of a young Rihanna that was taken on her first time at daycare. It is mainly black + white and filled with braille, save for a smattering of red paint and a gold crown covering young RiRi’s eyes. According to attendees at the event, the singer called this her favorite album she’s ever done.
