Taylor Swift Performs An Acoustic Version Of “Out Of The Woods” At The GRAMMY Museum
Taylor Swift celebrated her record-breaking exhibit at the GRAMMY Museum with an intimate set at the Clive Davis Theater on September 30. The 25-year-old delivered a selection of hits including 1989 highlight “Out Of The Woods,” which she performed (beautifully) at the piano — complete with the most Taylor Swift introduction of all time. “I’m going to play you a song that I wrote about a relationship I was in that the number one feeling I felt in the whole relationship was anxiety,” she confides.
“Because it felt very fragile, it felt very tentative and it always felt like, ‘Ok. What’s the next roadblock? What’s the next thing that’s gonna… deter this? How long do we have before this turns into just an awful mess and we break up?'” Taylor then tied a pretty bow around this tale of woe. “It doesn’t mean that it’s not special and extraordinary just to have a relationship that’s fragile and somehow meaningful in that fragility.” If the intro (which may or may not be about Harry Styles) doesn’t put you off too much, the performance is well worth watching. The “Bad Blood” diva sounds so much better without the heavy pop production of this era. Watch up top.
