Shawn Mendes Bumps Bieber Off Top Of UK Singles Chart, David Bowie’s Albums Rule

Justin Bieber gets knocked off the UK singles chart this week by fellow Canadian crooner Shawn Mendes, as the latter’s “Stitches” succeeds “Love Yourself” at #1. Here in the States, “Stitches” peaked at #4, while “Love Yourself” is currently lodged at #3.

Meanwhile, on the UK album chart, it’s a second week at the top for David Bowie‘s Blackstar. Seven days ago Blackstar debuted at #1 on the strength of 150,000 copies sold. The Official Charts Company reports that the Bowie takeover continues as the late musician’s latest studio album sold another 80,000 over the past week.

Additionally, Bowie astoundingly fills another 18 spots on the UK album chart this week, including two more within the Top 10:
