Shawn Mendes broke the internet yesterday (December 1) when his sexy, shirtless Flaunt shoot debuted online. While the 18-year-old has peeled off his clothing several times this year (he showed off his abs in a stylish L’Uomo Vogue spread and then reminded us that he has zero percent body fat in Hero magazine), but this takes it to the next level in a series of gritty, voyeuristic pics that look like a cross between an American Apparel poster and a banner on Pornhub. In other words, it got everyone’s attention.
If too much shirtless Shawn is never enough, a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot has surfaced. Now you can watch the “Treat You Better” hitmaker brood silently on set and smile as he flexes his six-pack on that shabby, red sofa. As for the interview that accompanied the shoot? Well, there’s a lot of talk about love. “Love is probably the strongest emotion that you can feel,” he declares. “It’s very natural — and I wouldn’t want to say easy — but natural and comfortable to write about, and there’s so many different forms of it, millions of layers, you could write forever about it.” Awww.
