Feist is about to return to music. According to The Huffington Post Canada, her follow-up to 2011’s Polaris-winning Metals is out April.

This is more than listeners were initially expecting to hear of Feist this year: Last August, she reunited with Broken Social Scene in the studio, for the indie rock band’s first album in nearly seven years. Feist was a core member of BSS from 2002 to 2005, before she focused on her solo career and took off with “1234,” earning four Grammy nominations.

The last fans heard of Feist was “Fire in the Water,” off 2012’s Twilight: Breaking Dawn 2 soundtrack.

The Huffington Post‘s article on Feist focuses on her charity initiative to collect backpacks for students in Malawi, so unfortunately, it doesn’t elaborate on what to expect of her upcoming album. However, Feist did repost the article on her Facebook profile, which fans are taking as confirmation that the news is true.

Revisit her 2012 Metals track “The Bad in Each Other” below.
