Avril Lavigne Signs A New Record Deal
Avril Lavigne has signed a new record deal and has a new album on the way.

The internet is currently gripped with a conspiracy theory that Avril Lavigne killed herself in 2003 and was replaced by a look-alike called Melissa Vandella. There is no evidence for this (obviously), but it hasn’t stopped the tweet outlining the premise getting more than 200,000 faves. The 32-year-old pop/rocker hasn’t commented on the viral sensation. Instead, she’s putting the finishing touches on her 6th LP. “Officially beginning production this week for the album,” the “Complicated” singer captioned an Instagram pic. “Almost there. Been pouring my heart and soul into writing these new songs for you guys.”

The Canadian signed a new record deal in March and has been working on new music ever since. “For this album I have a new team behind me and I just signed with BMG,” she revealed. “I’ve been working really hard on the new music and it’s a reflection of my journey over the last few years. At this point in my career and in my life, I just wanted to put fresh energy around me and I feel like I’m having somewhat of a rebirth in my life.” As one fan suggested, Avril should call her new album Melissa just to freak everyone out! Get familiar with the conspiracy theory below.
