Selena Gomez Opens Up About Her Next Single & ‘One Love Manchester’
Selena Gomez finally started promoting “Bad Liar” this morning (June 5) with a series of radio interviews. The pop star covered topics as diverse as her relationship with The Weeknd, Ariana Grande’s charity concert and her next single. Let’s start with an update on the 24-year-old’s love life. “I hang out with my new person a lot,” she told Sirius XM. As for One Love Manchester? “It was beautiful,” the “It Ain’t Me” hitmaker raved. “I thought everyone did such a beautiful job. It was so gorgeous. I loved how she ended it. I thought [Justin Bieber] did great.”
They eventually asked Selena a question about music. “We actually had the song for over a year,” she said of “Bad Liar.” “I’ve been in the studio for over a year, so I’ve had this song for a while and all the new music that’s coming is very different from the Kygo record to ‘Bad Liar.’ The next one is completely different,” Sel teased. “It’s been fun. It’s an evolution. I know it’s different and I just wanted it to sound like something I’ve never done before.”
Interestingly, we might already know the title. Selenators are convinced it’s called “Burn” after the Revival diva’s stylist teased song lyrics with that hashtag on Instagram. “Swallow down all the fire,” reads one caption. “Sometimes I think I could #burn,” was another. There’s no confirmation yet, but stranger things have happened. The track is also rumored to feature Gucci Mane, a fact the rapper confirmed in March. While we wait for more information, check out Selena’s radio interview below.
