Katy Perry's 'Witness': Album Review
Katy Perry boldly explores club sub-genres on her banger-heavy new album.

And the next single from Katy Perry’s Witness is… “Save As Draft.” At least at adult pop radio. The electro-ballad, which was co-written by DJ Mustard and Noonie Bao, will hit the airwaves wherever polite bops for Gen X-ers are played on June 26. It’s not my favorite mid-tempo on the album (that would be “Miss You More”), but the subject matter is relatable and the track should satisfy fans/radio programmers looking for a little more substance. What does that mean for “Swish Swish”?

Nothing. The meme-spawning anthem is still being worked at pop and rhythmic radio, so I guess there’s still a chance of getting a video and more performances. However, Katy’s collaboration with Calvin Harris, the very catchy “Feels,” seems to have sucked the life out of “Swish Swish” online. And, given the ongoing controversy, I can’t see Katy going out of her way to get that momentum back. On a brighter note, the diss track just cracked the top 10 on the club chart.
