Backstreet Boys are enjoying a surprise revival courtesy of a record-breaking Las Vegas residency and a surprise hit with country duo Florida Georgia Line. The man band celebrates their comeback with a glossy shoot in Paper magazine. AJ, Brian, Howie, Kevin and Nick all strike individual poses and come together for (intentionally) corny group shots that involve food fights and retro-styling. They are obviously having a good time and that camaraderie also comes through in the cover story.

The enduring group talks about their love of Sin City and Y2K hey day as well as their new album. “We just signed a major deal with RCA — and we’re just now brainstorming, talking ideas, talking direction, reaching out to producers,” AJ reveals. “This is our ninth studio album. We definitely want to go back to the five-part harmony, that signature Backstreet Boys sound, but we’re a little bit more mature and grown up. We’re fathers and a little older, so we may not be so bubble-gummy, but not raunchy either. Just sexy, fun music.” Sounds good to me.
