The Gibb Brothers Of The Bee Gees Are Practically Royalty
In December of 2017, singer Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees was awarded knighthood by the British Empire. Barry, who started the iconic band with his brothers Robin and Maurice, is the last remaining brother. Before Robin and Maurice passed, they were each given a Commander of the Most Excellent Order by the Queen, and but Barry has finally attained official knighthood himself. When accepting the honor he said, “I am deeply honored, humbled, and very proud. This is a moment in life to be treasured and never forgotten. I want to acknowledge how responsible my brothers are for this honor. It is as much theirs as it is mine. The magic, the glow, and the rush will last me the rest of my life.”
