Chris Brown has announced he will release his all hip-hop mixtape Boy In Detention on August 5. The 22-year-old, who now sports a mouth full of fetching gold teeth (thanks for the twitpic, Chris), announced the project via Twitter earlier this week and even dropped a couple of songs to prepare fans for his new sound. While he’s taking the change in musical direction seriously — that grill shows real dedication — Breezy is aware that he will most likely cop criticism from some quarters. The one-time planker tweeted: “And people… Yes I’m a singer so if this mixtape doesn’t reach your quota for hip hop! Simply don’t listen.” If you prefer Chris Brown in pop mode never fear: his new album Fortune is scheduled for release later this year.
