Paper cover guy Bruno Mars has taken his near-four-minute nod to The Police, “Locked Out Of Heaven,” to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, thus cutting Rihanna‘s reign with “Diamonds” off at three weeks. This marks the Unorthodox Jukebox crooner’s fourth trip to the top of the singles chart — and his first since last year’s “Grenade”, which was preceded by two 2010 smashes, “Just The Way You Are” and his feature on B.o.B.‘s “Nothin’ On You”. Mars has also racked up five other Top 10 singles, via his own hits “The Lazy Song” and “It Will Rain,” plus his features on Travie McCoy‘s “Billionaire,” Bad Meets Evil‘s “Lighters” and Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa‘s “Young, Wild & Free.”

A tip of the fedora to you, Bruno.
