Hot 97’s Summer Jam XX Concert: See Miguel, Mariah Carey, 2 Chainz & Nicki Minaj Perform
New York radio station Hot 97 celebrated their 20th anniversary in a major way at Sunday’s (June 2) Summer Jam XX concert. The event, which was held at MetLife Stadium, featured performances from Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Fabolous, Wale, Wu-Tang Clan and a host of others.
But the night’s most memorable moments definitely came courtesy of the duets: Miguel and Mariah Carey wooed the crowd with their single “#Beautiful”, with Carey’s belly-baring outfit serving “Heartbreaker” tease. 2 Chainz also had a killer set, which was elevated by Nicki Minaj‘s surprise appearance: She joined the rapper for “I Luv Dem Strippers” and gave a little taste of “Beez In The Trap.”
After her “Starships” beef with Hot 97 DJ Peter Rosenberg — which caused her to skip out on last year’s Summer Jam — Minaj touching the stage was a very unexpected moment. Guess the two managed to squash their drama once and for all.
