Well! With news that Shakira‘s upcoming single “Can’t Remember To Forget” not only features Rihannabut also was penned by Erik Hassle (commence freaking out now), the Colombian superstar is set to kick off 2014 with a bang — and she’s also taking the February cover of Glamour to talk about a lot of things, mostly her personal life but also the new single, which is what the world should really be excited about.

On the subject of working with Rihanna, Shakira had this to say: “Working with her was utopia.” (Sidenote: Shakira is the best because she says things like, “Working with her was utopia.” Nobody on the planet, including both native and non-native English speakers, makes better use of the English language than Shakira. That’s all.)

“She’s the sexiest woman on the planet,” she continued. “And at the end of the day, we’re both just basically Caribbean girls. The chemistry was so good and so real. She taught me dance moves. She was a sweet teacher.” Incredible.

As for her work ethic and ascent to celebrity, she explained, “I’ve shaken hands at every radio station, from Honduras to Ryan Seacrest. One day [I realized I was famous] enough. But here’s the thing: I’m still hungry. But I’m not hungry for fame — just the need to prove myself that I can still do this”.

Brace yourself for “Can’t Remember To Forget,” which drops January 13.
