Miley Cyrus Recorded A Beatles Cover With The Flaming Lips

Miley Cyrus hit the studio with The Flaming Lips and MGMT‘s Andrew VanWyngarden to record a cover of The Beatles‘ “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds,” which is exactly the Beatles song you’d expect Miley to cover. And in the photos from their session, Miley is rolling up a joint using Bangerz papers, which is exactly what you’d expect Miley to be doing in the studio. And Lips front man Wayne Coyne‘s caption? “Recordin with Miley… High as fuck,” which is exactly what you’d expect to hear about a Miley-Coyne hang. It’s not shocking if it’s exactly how you’d script it out, people.

Coyne also posted a pic on Instagram with the caption, “Miley in the studio vomiting diamonds while singing Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds!! If you’re a Beatles and John Lennon freak you gonna love love love this track!!” Of course, this isn’t the first time Coyne and co. have worked with a rebellious pop star — they’ve also collaborated with Ke$ha (and were thisclose to recording a Lipsha joint album).
