The rocker's 'Electric Light' era continues to surprise with an arty new video.

Julia Michaels is the undisputed queen of collaborations. Her discography includes songs with 5 Seconds Of Summer, Keith Urban and Clean Bandit — covering genres as diverse as pop/rock, country and club music. And let’s not forget her Inner Monologue Part 1 EP, which includes impeccable duets with Selena Gomez and Niall Horan. She would be forgiven for resting on her laurels (for at least a week), but the prolific singer/songwriter is at it again. Julia now lends her unmistakable flair to James Bay’s “Peer Pressure.”

The UK rocker shared a snippet of the track on Instagram and it sounds like a return to the soulful rock of his mega-selling debut LP. “2am, seven texts, halfway dressed, they’re all saying call me up,” he croons over strummed guitar. “You can’t sleep, you’re testing me, bad but sweet.” It will be interesting to see if “Peer Pressure” is part of a deluxe edition of James’ (very underrated) 2018 LP, Electric Light, or a stand-alone single.
